Hope's Family Ministry

Our vision

That Jesus is known and made known in every Home.

You may have clicked on this tab expecting a specific age segregated ministry and thought you ended up here by mistake. Rest assured you are in the right place as our approach to discipleship begins in the home and is reinforced by the church. Our ultimate vision for family ministry is "that Jesus is known and made known in every home". The church's role is not to replace you, but to champion, train, and resource you, the parent, to be the primary disciple-maker in your home.

Below you will find Hope's Family Ministry Pathway. You can click on the buttons below that apply to your family. Each Section will have 3 distinct tabs: Seeing the Gospel, Milestone, and Ministries & Resources. In "Seeing the Gospel" you will read about the stage of life and development you and your child are in and How you as the parent can show the Gospel to them in your parenting (more is caught than taught). In "Milestones" you will see our churches milestones that we invite you to step into during your journey as a parent, some are for you as the parent, but as your child gets older the milestones will begin to directly involve your child as they make their faith their own. "Ministries & Resources" are the ways we want to support you consistently at Church and provide resources that will give you practical tools to use at home.

Seeing the Gospel
This early stage is about unconditional, sacrificial love that meets basic needs, reflecting God's perfect love for us.
Like your child, we were helpless to overcome our sin, yet nothing prevented God from showing His unconditional love by sending Jesus. Your unconditional care reflects this essential Gospel truth.

Nursing Mothers Room: At Hope we have a dedicated, private room for any nursing mom. In this room we provide a cozy atmosphere and a direct stream to our worship service so you can continue to worship and be filled so you can pour back out into your children during this time of intense ministry at home.

Nursery: If you are ready to leave your child with our background checked volunteers in our secure and weekly sanitized facility, we will joyfully sing, read and pray with your little one while you worship the One who gave you your little blessing.

Toddlers: Our church has seen a blessing of an abundance of little ones and so we have divided our Nursery into infant and toddler rooms. both the Nursery and Toddler rooms are equally cared for.

Setting boundaries: Preschool

Seeing the Gospel
As toddlers grow, their sin nature begins to show itself in many different ways. This stage is crucial for establishing clear, fair, and consistent boundaries that teach trust and obedience. Just as we, in our sin, have crossed God's boundaries, He has clearly, fairly and consistently declared that the consequences of our sin is death.  When you discipline your child you are teaching your child to trust God, that His rules are for our benefit, and showing them that disobedience doesn't go unpunished. The goal is that they will see that their sin will not go unpunished before a Just (fair) God, but if they trust in God through the saving work of Jesus Christ they will be shown mercy for salvation and abundant grace by recieving fellowship with God through His Holy Spirit..
Milestone 3: Dedication of Home
Home Dedication is not a baby dedication. After you have created your plan of discipleship within your home, it is time for you to go public. We invite you to sit down with our family pastor and walk through the vow of dedication you will be making before the congregation. During this time you will have an opportunity to write out, solidify, and pick three trusted mentors that you will share your plan with so they can encourage you and your children as you are living out your plan. If you have completed the Art of Parenting and are ready to make the Vow of dedication, click the button below.

Training Hearts: Children

Seeing the Gospel
In the elementary years, the focus shifts from blind obedience to understanding the "why" behind the boundaries—cultivating a heart that desires to follow God because of His great love for us.
As we humble ourselves and try to obey the commands of God, we find ourselves woefully inadequate and in need of God's mercy through Jesus. This stage is about having deep conversations that train your child to see their sin and their desperate need for Jesus' salvation and Life through His Holy Spirit.
Milestone 4: Bible Presentation
Your child is presented with their own Bible during a Sunday service. Before this, parents and children attend a breakfast where we discuss the significance of God's Word and how to use it effectively. This is a significant moment where you begin to take your child directly to the word of God and allow them to take ownership of the faith you have imparted to them.

Coaching: Youth

Seeing the Gospel
As teenagers, children begin taking ownership of their decisions. The parent's role evolves into that of a coach, offering advice and allowing for natural consequences that build character.
This mirrors the lifelong process of sanctification, where the Holy Spirit uses prayer and God's Word to guide us, but often allows us to face the consequences of disobedience to draw us nearer to Jesus.
Milestone 5: Mentorship
We want to ensure that by this time in your child's life they have developed connections with 5 mature followers of Christ within the congregation. These mentors include the Parents/guardians (2), the family pastor, a discipler, and a prayer mentor. These connections will be fostered during our service time and throughout the week as parents permit. Studies have shown that students are highly likely to be resilient in their faith when they have connections like these between generations at church.

Launching: Young Adults

Seeing the Gospel
The ultimate goal: launching fully formed, Christ-centered adults ready to live out their faith. The role of the parent shifts to mentoring, offering wisdom when asked, and launching them into a mission filled life.
God is abounding with wisdom and knowledge, and He longs to give it to His people when we simply ask (James 1:5). Your role is to be a source of Godly wisdom when they seek it.
Milestone 6: International Mission Trip
We plan to offer opportunities for your young adults to serve the "global" Church through International Missions opportunities. This provides a crucial, non-American perspective on God's Kingdom, preparing them for a lifetime of service.
